TURN NOTES INTO ACTION

Review, edit, and approve action items

Turn a detected commitment into a clear task before marking it done or sending it.

Check four things before approving#

  1. Read the task and its supporting transcript quote. Confirm someone actually committed to it.
  2. Check the assignee. A name in the transcript is not proof of an external tool account.
  3. Check the deadline and priority. Leave an unknown date unspecified.
  4. Check the downstream target and context, then approve or dismiss the item.

Make the task useful#

Open Edit to change the title, assignee, date, deadline wording, priority, target, or context. Saving edits returns the action to review. You can also cycle priority from the priority badge and link an action to a meeting decision.

Work through the inbox#

Use Action inbox to filter accessible actions across meetings. Select actions for bulk approval, dismissal, or assignment. A stale selection needs to be refreshed before a bulk change can be saved.

Track completion#

Use the task checkbox to mark local work complete or reopen it. A sent action’s receipt links to the destination, where you can track work that lives in an external tool.
